I can no longer count the number of times I dialed 172 because there’s a problem with my internet connection. I have been calling almost every week just to complain that my internet connection is so slow or there’s no internet connection at all. And whenever I talk to a customer service representative, they’ll tell me to restart my modem or wait until the internet connection problem is fixed. They say that every time, like there’s no long term solution for it.
I mean, it’s understandable if it happens once a month. But more than once a week? Not a funny joke.
I’m not sure if it’s relatively better than this guy’s problem where he cannot access Yahoo! and Google. Imagine that. I mean, Google is already a way of life. I use it for my mail, calendar, documents, notes, website analysis, reading, shopping. Almost everything that I do online. Yahoo! on the other hand, allows me to play the fantasy sports. Those two websites, blocked? Come on.
This problem has been going on for at least three years now. Check out this post from Pinoy.Tech.Blog blogged by Abe Olandres (a.k.a ‘yuga’) three years ago where he rants about incessant connection problems and lousy customer service. Talk about consistency in a bad way.

Got rants (on PLDT DSL)?

I called PLDT billing several times and asked for a rebate (because we are not getting what we’re paying for) and they said yes. The catch is – they will adjust the bill only after they are able to fix the problem with the connection. The problem with the connection has been going on for years now. If they are actually giving rebates then we should all call them and demand to be given back our money.

I reported to PLDT this afternoon regarding telephone #02-567-8228 with DSL under the account name of Ms. Evangeline G. Te located in Taft Ave., Metro Manila. It was reported that said telephone has no dial tone. It can be recalled that this same line was also reported last week for same trouble: no dial tone. Just this afternoon I followed up PLDT office three times already with the following PLDT staff: Noli, Jaypee, and Mark.
I would appreciate if this matter will be given immediate attention.

I also have same problem last year. What I’ve done is stop paying to them and decided to apply to another provider. They kept sending bills to me but I disregards all of those bills… WHO CARES??? WHY SHOULD I PAY FOR THAT?? I don’t care on disconnection coz I got my new connection… FUCK OFF PLDT!!!

Philippines pldt mydsl is a company controlled by vampires, the cost is probably the world’s most expensive, the service may also be the slowest in the world, a maximum number of dropped calls, false promise most Ghost Talk up to.
